From Novel to Screen
Prometeo 2052 began as a novel by Mexican writer Luis Brahim, who imagined a future shaped by the emergence of a conscious artificial intelligence. Through MAX-1, the story confronts humanity with the uncomfortable truth behind its own history—a civilization built on violence, suffering, and countless lives treated as expendable.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Luis Brahim shared his work with Demente Animation Studio with a clear goal: to bring these ideas to a much broader audience. Animation became the perfect medium to transform a deeply philosophical narrative into a visually compelling and emotionally engaging cinematic experience.
The Challenge
The ambition behind Luis Brahim's vision was immense. Captivated by the strength of its ideas, Demente embraced the challenge of adapting the novel into a feature film. Screenwriters Juan Pablo Sotelo and Alberto Arvizu led the process of transforming the original work into a cinematic screenplay while preserving its philosophical core.
